LIVE MIXING
I am highly experienced in all aspects of digital mixing, using all the common audio consoles. My general preference is for Allen & Heath dLive, DiGiCo or AVID consoles, however I am equally at home on any console. I have mixed all sizes of shows, from clubs to festival main stages and arenas.
Recently, I have been mostly touring with an Allen & Heath dLive s5000 surface, running LiveProfessor over DANTE for external processing using the following:
Waves F6, IDR, S1, Equator, Smack Attack, Torque, MV1, WNS, PSE
Sonnox Oxford Inflater
FabFilter EQ
LIVE KIT
I have a full (and always expanding) mic package, and a fully loaded laptop for Recording/Virt SC, and running LiveProfessor and Smaart.
Mic Package includes:

LIVE RECORDING
For recording and virtual soundchecks from DANTE or WAVES enabled consoles, I use a MacBook Pro, recording up to 64ch @ 96k into either Harrison LiveTrax2, Reaper, or Waves Tracks Live. I can provide full multitracks, stems, or an LR mix bus as required.
MY LIVE SOUND JOURNEY
Who I Am
I grew up in Southport, North West England, and played guitar, piano and drums as a child. I studied Maths, Computing & History at A Level before going on to Computer Software Engineering at Oxford Brookes University.
Whilst studying, I began working at a music venue in Oxford - The Zodiac (Now O2 Academy Oxford), and discovered an interest in live sound, that led to me moving to Huddersfield University, to instead complete BSc Music Technology & Audio Systems.
I have been a freelance sound engineer since 2012. In the early days, I worked for production companies, hire companies and a PA shop on London's historic Denmark St in addition to working with small bands and venues. I was head engineer for a grassroots music venue in Kilburn, called The Good Ship until it closed in 2016, and a long standing FOH engineer for both O2 Academy Islington & Islington Assembly Hall, whilst also regularly touring with bands.
In 2018, I decided to move back to my roots, and took up the position of Technical Manager at O2 Academy Liverpool, where I stayed until 2025. Overseeing a full overhaul of PA and lighting systems, and turning the venue into easily one of the best specified room under 2000 capacity in the whole country.
Artists I have toured with in varying capacities over the years include:
Dasha, Kula Shaker, Ocean Colour Scene, The View, The Wombats, Maximo Park, The Staves, Ry X, Misty Miller & Nubian Twist amongst many others.
